Since the agricultural revolution around 12.000 years ago, humans have morphed the surface of the planet from forest to grain crop fields. The agricultural revolution gave rise to the first cities and still is on the basis of our entire global civilization. Nontheless the impact of agriculture has never been greater and unfortunatly not so positive. Our current farming practices are the cause of deforestation, soil degradation and various forms of land, air and water pollution. More than 30% of global grain production is directly used to feed livestock.
